After enjoying both the original 1498 Trinidad Scorpion and 1841 Ghost Pepper sauces and was ready to reorder, I saw this. This sauce is keeps the great flavor of the original 1498 but ramps up the heat. This sauce has great flavor and reaches my limit of how hot of sauce I can take.

I like the trinidad scorpion. I don't know if it quite lives up to the hype, but it has a good flavor regardless. I appreciate the floral aspects that compliment the heat, and I love the quick burning reward it gives. Unlike the jolokia, this won't smolder in your mouth for half an hour, but I imagine it will still hurt for a long time if you're unfamiliar with real hot stuff.
That said, the Cauterizer is all about the Trinidad Scorpion. HBD rightly claims the best flavor, but heat isn't sacrificed much in this sauce. As the big brother of the original 1498, the fruit and slight sweetness is preserved, while heat gets a big kick. The personality of the trinidad scorpion is more easily tasted, and the shortcomings of the pepper are perfectly complimented by the other ingredients in the sauce.
This sauce is just delicious. It is fruity and just a little sweet. The blueberry and apricot in particular balance the pepper well. The trinidad scorpion brings a serious snappy burn that torches the candle at both ends to come in force quickly and leave equally fast.
Highly recommended

I don't usually use hotsauce, but when I do, I use cauterizer.
something I have noticed with many hot sauces is that the hotter they get, the less flavor they have. This hot sauce is against that convention. This hot sauce has a great burn, but still an amazing flavor, which makes it one of a kind.

This sauce is fantastic, the sweet and spicy goes great on asian foods. The thing I like most about this sauce is that you can apply it liberally and still get the extreme heat whereas other extreme hot sauces take only a dab to set flames, and lose the flavor of the sauce. Great sauce def 5 out of 5. Can't wait to buy more and try the other products.

To start off this review, I enjoyed the packaging. It came with 3 postcards and a sticker for HBD. Next, the flavor is brilliant, much like the original 1498, but with double the heat. Wonderful product yet again, guys.

Hot sauce is not simply defined by heat......... This is why Blair's products taste like battery acid......... Cauterizer is an amazing hot sauce with amazing flavor. I love it on my pizza, in my spaghetti sauce, in my Mac n cheese,on my wings and in my queso. Nice heat and superior taste!
Glenn from Suzie Hot Shoppe in New Hope, Pa. never steers us wrong.

I found the regular Trinidad Scorpion sauce to be delicious, but a little tame compared to some of the outrageous hot sauces. Fear not, the Cauterizer is here to satisfy even the most tolerant chilihead. The consistency is thicker and the heat is much more robust. The good news is that you still retain the great flavor of the regular 1498 with an extra kick of scorpion heat. This one is definitely a keeper.

Great sauce! Has the perfect balance of intense heat with sweet and savory overtones. Tasting this for the first time and got a wonderful sweet honey flavor married with a delicious savory background. The heat level is just right with a biting sting the Trinidad Scorpion's bring.
